Where your text goes
When you use an AI tool with your own key, the text you enter goes from your browser straight to the provider you chose — Groq, Google, OpenRouter or whichever you picked. It does not pass through this site, and this site keeps neither your key nor what you write.
Once it reaches the provider, the provider’s terms apply. Some free tiers allow the provider to use what you send to improve its models, so read the terms before sending anything confidential, and choose a provider whose terms suit what you are writing.
Without a key
The AI tools that work without a key use built-in logic that runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter leaves your device.
Where the key is kept
In your browser’s storage for this site. It is never sent to this site. Be aware of the limit of that: like anything a website stores in your browser, it can be read by scripts running on this site. Two habits keep the risk small:
- Create a key just for this site, so you can delete it at the provider without affecting anything else.
- Where the provider offers it, set a spending limit, or use a free-tier key that cannot be charged.
