How this tool works
Six optional steps around one video: keep only the parts you want, change the shape, add a logo, burn in captions, replace or remove the sound, and put an intro, outro or thumbnail around it. Switch off anything you do not need. Nothing is uploaded — the whole job happens on your own device.
The reason to use this rather than the separate tools is not the clicking. Doing six things in six tools means the video is decoded and encoded six times, and every pass costs a little quality. Here each frame is composited once — reshaped, logo, caption — and encoded once, so the result is cleaner as well as quicker. The single-purpose tools stay, because most people want one thing and a page that does one thing is easier to find and faster to use.
Things worth knowing before you start
- Caption timings and cutting interact: if you keep only some sections, a caption written for 01:55 of the original lands earlier in the finished video. Tell it which the timings refer to and they are shifted to match. Captions falling in parts you cut are left out rather than shown at the wrong moment.
- Captions go on your material, not on the intro: a caption drawn over an intro logo is never what was meant, so captions are applied to the main video only. The logo, being branding, is drawn on everything.
- Everything is matched to the main video: an intro of a different size or shape is scaled and fitted rather than refused, and silence is generated for anything without sound so the audio does not end early and drift.
- Music replaces rather than mixes: the original sound is not written at all when music is chosen. A track longer than the video is trimmed with a short fade-out; a shorter one plays out and leaves silence rather than looping.
