Your files stay on your device β€” and the two exceptions

Short answer: Files and text are processed in your browser and never uploaded. The two exceptions: the Page Speed Auditor sends the address you enter to Google, and the AI tools send your text to the provider whose key you add.

How the tools work

Every tool on this site runs as JavaScript inside your browser. When you compress an image, merge a PDF or format a block of code, the file or text is read into your device’s memory, processed there, and handed back to you as a download. No copy is uploaded, so there is no copy on a server to be stored, logged or leaked.

You can check this yourself: once a tool’s page has finished loading, switch off Wi-Fi and mobile data, and most tools carry on working.

The two exceptions

Two kinds of tool send something away, because the job cannot be done without it. Both say so on their own page.

  • The Page Speed Auditor. Its whole job is to test a website you name, and that cannot be measured from your device. The address you enter goes through this site to Google PageSpeed Insights, which loads the page and reports what it found. Only the address is sent. Results are kept for a few hours so that a repeat audit of the same address is instant.
  • The AI tools, when you add your own key. The text you enter goes from your browser straight to the AI provider you chose, under that provider’s terms. It does not pass through this site, and this site never sees your key. Without a key, the AI tools that offer a built-in mode work entirely in your browser. What the site does record

Like every website, the server keeps ordinary logs of the pages requested. The site also counts how often each tool is opened and used β€” the tool’s name and nothing else, never what you put into it β€” so we know which tools to improve. Analytics and advertising are covered in the privacy policy.
